5 Tips For Choosing Your Car Park Operator

We try our best to make sure our booking system is simple and easy to use but it may be difficult to decide when there’s so many options to choose from! In this article, we’d like to give you a few tips that’ll hopefully help you choose the right car park for you!

Tip 1 – Decide on whether you want on-site or off-site parking

Official car parks are at the airport and are very convenient because of their location. As a result, it’ll be easier for travellers with a disability or anyone who may have difficulty getting to the terminal entrance. With on-site parking you should be able to get assistance from airport staff, however, with off-site parking you’re advised to confirm in advance whether this is possible.

Off-site car parks are located outside the airport and are typically cheaper than the official ones.

Tip 2 - Find out the walking distance from the car park, or the transfers to the airport

It’s important to find out how long it’ll take to walk to the terminal entrance from the car park or the timetable for any transfers to ensure you’ll have plenty of time to reach your gate. For instance, you may be carrying a lot of luggage or little to none, ultimately leading to whether you’d rather walk or take a transfer.

With transfers you should consider if they’re 24/7, on-demand or scheduled, how long the journey is, and child seats if applicable.

Step 3 - Look for a meet and greet if you have little time on your hands

Many official car parks are just a few minutes walk away from the airport, however, the meet and greet service can be as convenient as on-site parking and can often be found for less money, as one of the staff from the car park will meet you at the airport entrance with your car and its keys.

Step 4 - Consider what services are suitable for you and what you would prefer

Many car park operators will offer different features so it’s important to consider what your key parking requirements are whilst you’re away.

On our website we offer open-air and covered parking, with both options normally available at on-site and off-site car parks

Some operators may offer services like keeping your car keys, night patrol, valet parking, meet and greet, toilets, transfers, etc. It’s your choice as to what services are best for you. You can use our helpful filters to easily find the car parks that are most suitable

The keep your keys service will allow you to take your car keys with you instead of leaving them secure at the car park. This is a personal preference as some customers would rather have their keys on hand and it gives travellers more control and allows for the swiftest possible departure!

All the car parks on our website are safe and secure. However, some customers may prefer car parks with night patrol, an alarm system, insurance, or 24/7 CCTV, etc.

Step 5 - Read the reviews for the car park

We only supply reliable and reputable car park operators for our customers, however, it’s still great to read reviews to get a grasp of what their customers think about their experience.
