ParkVia remains in Pole position at Lodz Airport

ParkVia has strengthened its partnership with Polish airport, Lodz, following a successful six-year collaboration.

Having worked with the team at Lodz Airport on the marketing and online distribution of its parking products since 2013, ParkVia was commissioned in 2015 to build and deploy the airport’s own pre-booking engine, which has created a streamlined reservation process for customers looking for parking online.

Effective collaboration between the two companies has seen impressive growth in booking numbers over the six-year term, underlining the increasing customer appetite for reserved parking options online.

Visitors to the airport can choose to park within the grounds of the airport, close to the terminal building at P1.

The parking area is very well-lit, is completely ring-fenced with a barrier entry, and is comprehensively insured. The car park is open daily during the airport operating hours, is monitored around-the-clock with CCTV and is well protected.

Robert Makowski, Head of Route & Business Development at Lodz Airport, said:

“With 31 European capitals within the range of regional flights from Lodz Airport, the potential to capture passenger interest in pre-bookable parking is vast, which is why effective marketing is essential.

“As the airport remains in a phase of intensive development, it’s important that we continue to build upon partnerships that assist us in delivering a more comprehensive journey experience for our passengers. We’re delighted to be pushing forward with our joint collaboration with ParkVia and look forward to another successful year.”

The third largest city in Poland, Lodz - the former textile industry empire - is fast becoming a must-see destination for travellers looking for a cost-effective break away from the usual over-populated tourist spots.

City of Lodz have been awarded “Best Value Destination 2019” by Lonely Planet and one of the cheapest travel destinations for 2019. As a host of FIFA U20 World Cup this year, Lodz will be also hosting “Green EXPO” in 2024 (World Horticultural Exhibition) and European University Games in 2022.

Earlier this year, ParkVia announced a collaboration with its second Polish airport – Katowice International Airport – expanding its network further for users across Europe’s 9th largest country.
