New Years Eve 2016 – ParkCloud Recommends
With Christmas out of the way, the next big thing on your calendar should be New Years Eve. Whether you want more low key family suitable celebrations, or you want to party through the night, ParkCloud has compiled a list of the best events across Europe. Happy 2017!
Lisbon
New Years Eve in Lisbon takes place mostly around Praca do Comercio, on the waterfront. The city's 10th century hilltop fortress, the Castelo de Sao Jorge opens up its gates at midnight to provide epic views of the merriment across the city. Lisbon tends to stay up late, with live music and parties throughout the streets! Dance your way into 2017.
Garagem Santo Antonio dos Capuchos Lisbon City is a very affordable option for such a super central location. Enjoy New Years Eve fun knowing your car is safe in a car park that is staffed 24 hours a day, and has round the clock CCTV. Oh, and there's a car wash service available!
London
New Years Eve in London is all about one thing – fireworks. They've become so popular in recent years that the surrounding areas have become ticketed, and tickets aren't easy to get hold of. Rather than battle with crowds for an average view close by, why not head further out and see them from afar? Primrose Hill is the perfect spot to see the fireworks from, plus it's child friendly, and gives you the option of taking your own food and drink.
Public transport in London can be a nightmare on a normal day, but on New Years Eve it might be better just to drive. Q-Park London St Johns Wood is just 10 minutes walk from Primrose Hill, and is open 24 hours a day. It's also close-by a tube station should you decide to head more central.

Bratislavia
Bratislavia at New Year is all about music – in every square find a new and exciting live band from folk to rock to pop! The main hub of activity is the Hlavne Namestie square, with Christmas markets still going strong, dancing in the street, delicious food and enough live music that there'll be something for everyone!
Why not park just a short 2 minute walk away at the OPERA Car Park – and underground garage near the historic Slovak National Theatre. Equipped with a CCTV system and open 24 hours a day, you won't find anywhere better to leave your car this New Years Eve. Plus it's located in the heart of Bratislava Old Town, so you can join in the dancing as soon as you've got out of the car!
Edinburgh
Edinburgh at New Years Eve lasts for four whole days (yes, 4!) and is called 'Hoganay Hoopla' - which simply means a celebration of the last day of the year. With a torch procession throughout the city, concerts and street parties, you'd struggle to find somewhere more enthusiastic than Edinburgh!
Traditional New Years Eve song 'Auld Lang Syne' was written by Scotsman Robert Burns, and feels all that bit more special when sung in the streets of Edinburgh whilst watching fireworks with a backdrop of Edinburgh Castle!
Q-Park Edinburgh Quartermile is a recently opened undercover car park within the Quartermile development. Within easy walking distance of Princes Street, where many of the festivities take place, you can enjoy your stay in Edinburgh knowing your car is save from New Years Eve revellers. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week, your car will be safe and sound while you celebrate. Cheers!
