Salt Lake City Airport is a civil-military airport about 4 miles west of Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The airport is the closest commercial airport for more than 2.5 million people.

The airport is the fourth largest for Delta Air Lines, as well as a hub for Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines. Following Delta and Delta Connection, the largest carriers at the airport in order of size are Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, United Express, US Airways, US Airways Express, American Airlines and American Eagle.

In 2002 Salt Lake City and the airport hosted the Olympic Winter Games. The event put Salt Lake City in the international spotlight and the region was at the time was the most populated area to hold a Winter Olympic Games.
