Beauvais Airport takes parking to the next level with ParkCloud

Beauvais Airport has launched automated customer access to its car parks in partnership with ParkCloud.

The new service provides customers with seamless entry and exit for pre-booked parking. Ready in time for the Easter rush, the facility has already been well received by customers, whilst reducing the burden on car park staff.

The milestone solution for the French airport means that bookings, regardless of the sales channel through which they were made, are handled in a consistent manner via ParkCloud. Integration with the on-site hardware was performed jointly by Thales and ParkCloud, the latter providing unique PIN codes to customers at the point when bookings are made.

Online parking bookings were launched for the first time at the airport, in collaboration with ParkCloud, in August 2014, and have proved so successful in the months since that the number of spaces available to reserve online has twice been increased. The end-to-end technology solution now in place ensures that the airport, handling some 4 million passengers in 2014, will be able to cope with the peak season demand in 2015 and the years to come.
