Almeria airport information
Almeria Airport was renovated in 1995 and in 2002 the new cargo terminal was opened. One thousand three hundred passengers per hour pass through Almeria Airport which is Andalucia's third most important airport in terms of passenger numbers. Due to the large number of foreign passengers using the airport, it has become Andalucia's second most important in terms of tourism.
Almeria Airport has facilities for disabled travelers and is located on the main Nijar road, 9km from Almeria city. It is connected to the city by local bus and taxi. If you are arriving by car take the AL-12 road or the Autovia del Mediterraneo A-7. It is approximately a 10 minutes journey from the centre of Almeria city. It is also connected with Cabo de Gata, Aguadulce, Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido and Mojacar.
