Ryanair has launched new routes from Cork to the east midlands. The new routes means that Ryanair will have 11 different routes from Cork this winter. Starting in October there will be 4 scheduled flights per month from Cork to the east midlands. The director of the airport Niall MacCarthy says he wishes Ryanair all the best with their new routes and states that; “This is an opportunity to expand inbound tourism to the Munster region and also offers another gateway serving the city regions of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham.”.

Passengers will be able to enjoy the more frequent routes and Ryanair’s low fares, from October and throughout the winter months. Lisa Cashin from Ryanair say they “[celebrated] the launch of our Cork winter schedule, Ryanair is launching a 100,000 seat sale across its entire European network at prices starting from just €22.99”.
