Aer Lingus announced recently a few changes to its lines which will mean both good and bad news for Cork Airport. On the one hand, its Cork-Brussels line is being extended and increases, to remain operational throughout the winter with 4 flights a week. On the other however, the national airline has decided to cancel its Cork-London Gatwick line.
Whilst the good news was welcomed by airport managers as a good step towards increasing European traffic and re-enforcing Ireland's touristic links to the continent; the loss of the London route is regretted, and the lack of a Cork-Dublin route is still being pressed.
