San Diego Port Information

The San Diego Unified Port District was created in 1962. The Port's main cruise facility is located at B Street Pier in downtown San Diego along North Harbor Drive. In December 2010, the redevelopment of the historic Broadway Pier to create a second cruise-ship pier and terminal was completed. The new pavilion serves as an auxiliary terminal to the Port's main B Street Cruise Ship Terminal.

Parking
Passengers arriving by car may NOT park on the pier while on their cruise. Park and Go San Diego is the most convenient parking lot and located closest to the pier.

Shuttle transfer times
Shuttles run approx. every 10 minutes. Luggage assistance is provided. The trip to the embarkation terminal takes just a few minutes depending on traffic.

Amenities

Elevators are accessible with a wheelchair. There is also a passenger gangway. Customer service representatives are available to assist with special requirements.

Checking In
Passengers are advised to allow about an hour for check-in time. Travelers pass security, then check in at their cruise ship counter. The boarding document states the arrival time at the cruise ship terminal. Passengers are asked to come prepared for check-in by having their ID and ship ticket ready.

Security and Pier Access
Increased security measures have been enacted in compliance with current U.S. Coast Guard Security Standards.
If you wish to drive onto the pier, you must present your ID and a ship ticket for sailing on that specific day.
You must also present a picture ID and ship ticket if you wish to enter the cruise ship terminal.
