Along with the Stay and Fly parking for Shannon airport, the Bunratty Castle Hotel also offers a park and fly option. You just park your car, pay the balance in reception and request travel arrangements to Shannon Airport Terminal.

With Park and Fly at the Bunratty Castle Hotel travellers can choose a cheaper alternative to the official airport parking in Shannon Airport, with the peace of mind that their vehicle is secure and safe. A free Airport Shuttle Transfer Service to and from Shannon airport is provided by the Bunratty Castle Hotel between the hours of 7.30am and 2pm Monday - Sunday inclusive, (please see details below*). Outside of these hours, customers would need to arrange their own transfers. Staff would be happy to arrange a taxi if required. The cost of a taxi from the hotel to the airport is approximately €18. There is also an hourly public bus service to the Airport from just outside the hotel grounds. Shannon Airport is only minutes away so it is a short journey for travellers. Please note that cars are parked at their owner's risk and no responsibility is taken by the hotel or ParkSmart for loss, damage or theft to vehicles parked on the premises. The car park itself is well lit and is monitored day and night by hotel staff. *Airport Shuttle Service, please note:1. Departure times from the hotel are 7:30, 10:30 and 13:30 daily 4. Pick-up times from the airport are 7:45, 10:45 and 13:45 daily 5. Notwithstanding (3) and (4) above, the hotel will provide further shuttle runs outside these times if there is sufficient demand, but only between 7:30am and 2:30pm.

While this is a great idea the website has some information which is incorrect. The Time.. this is what the website says, " The shuttle bus runs between 7.30am and 2.00pm. It leaves from the hotel on the hour every hour and its return journey leaves the airport half past the hour. Allow yourself enough time to pay the balance at reception and travel to Shannon airport before your official check in." This is actually incorrect. The service begins at 7.30pm which is not on the hour as stated above, so when we arrived at 7.40 in plenty of time to pay and leave, we were actually late. On the website it would also have helped if we had been told that they only run 3 services a day from the hotel. We also werent told anything about being picked up on our return, rushed out to be collected for the last service at 1.45pm and there was no one there. We rang the hotel and they sent a taxi for us. The hotel also no longer uses a shuttle bus, they use taxis. So even though its a great cheap way of parking a car for two days, the fear of missing flights or lifts because of the lack of info and the wrong timing info is quite off putting.

Hello Amy, The information regarding services provided comes from the hotel and in this case they had not updated us with the latest adjustments to the airport shuttle service. In light of your feedback we contacted the Bunratty Castle Hotel to confirm the details and our website has now been amended accordingly. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and misunderstanding you experienced and thank you.

When we arrived at the pick up area there was no bus waiting at the time it was scheduled for, so I went to hotel reception. The receptionist said she had no knowledge of ParkSmart and that I was in the wrong place, so I went outside and dialed the number forwarded to me via email/ text. The same receptionist answered.....so it was all a bit of a mess until another guy came along and called us a taxi. I didn't return with my party so I don' t know how the return went, I will advise if there were any other complications.

Hello David, We are very sorry that there was no shuttle bus available to take you and your companions to the airport on 20th June. The hotel should therefore have paid your taxi fare as the transfer to the airport was included in the price you paid for parking. It is unfortunate that the receptionist you dealt with initially was unaware of ParkSmart and the Park and Fly service. We hope that your return transfer to Bunratty Castle went smoothly and that there were no problems.

That Hotel wasn't too bad, but transfer should be all time. If I not pay for night taxi sent from hotel, I would like take them again, and I would say there are working like Dublin's hotel's
